Women's Health Management

Hormone and Fertility Testing

The female hormone cycle is complex and dynamic, changing naturally through life stages such as puberty, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and menopause, making hormone testing especially important in women’s health management. TriCore offers a comprehensive test menu to evaluate the female hormone cycle and androgen imbalance, as well as thyroid hormone testing.

Breast Cancer Testing

TriCore provides comprehensive pathology services using state-of-the-art technologies, including immunohistochemistry (IHC) and molecular diagnostics, to support accurate disease detection and treatment planning. This includes complex tumor analysis by IHC and breast cancer testing to aid in both diagnosis and therapy selection.

Cervical Cancer Screening & Detection

TriCore offers a variety of cervical cancer screening tests, including two FDA-approved liquid-based Pap tests: ThinPrep® & SurePath®. A cytotechnologist screens every slide, and a pathologist reviews each abnormal Pap. Additionally, TriCore utilizes Hologic and BD Imaging systems to increase screening sensitivity and specificity. HPV screening augments our Pap screening as a primary test or co-testing option. To aid in the identification of women with transforming HPV infections in a screening population, CINtec® Plus is offered to determine if a colposcopy is needed following a negative Pap with a positive HPV result. Finally, TriCore offers surgical pathology services for colposcopies and biopsies.

Sexually Transmitted Infections

Untreated sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including gonorrhea, chlamydia, and trichomoniasis, can lead to serious conditions, including pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy, or infertility. Because untreated STIs may be linked to chronic reproductive problems, these tests are also valuable in workups for patients with reproductive issues. TriCore offers results for three of the most common STIs.

Maternal & Prenatal Screening

Understanding risk and monitoring health throughout pregnancy is vital to ensuring the best outcomes for both mother and baby. TriCore’s comprehensive diagnostic testing offerings support providers with timely and accurate insights to guide prenatal care at every stage.

Routine Prenatal Testing

TriCore offers a full range of routine prenatal screening tests to detect infectious disease and assess the health of the mother and fetus.

Genetic Carrier Screening

Genetic carrier screening is essential for determining the risk of having a child with certain genetic diseases. The American College of Medical Genetics and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommend screening for mutations associated with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and cystic fibrosis in all pregnant individuals. TriCore works with nationally recognized reference lab partners to test for (SMA), cystic fibrosis, and fragile X premutation and full mutation carrier status, appropriate for those with a family history of fragile X related disorders or a family history of intellectual disability suggestive of fragile X syndrome.

Prenatal Screening

TriCore offers advanced chromosomal analysis, including Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) and Chromosomal Microarray (CMA), to support prenatal care. These tests provide detailed genetic insights, helping healthcare providers detect chromosomal abnormalities with precision and reliability.
