If you choose to order your testing directly rather than through your doctor, insurance will not cover the test. You must pay up-front before the test is administered. However, we make every effort to keep tests affordable, with many popular tests costing less than $100. Costs vary based on their complexity. Most HSAs and HRAs can be used to pay for direct access testing. You can browse our available tests online to view specific prices.

Any lab test you order from TriCore directly will be identical to the ones ordered by your doctor in terms of quality, methodology, and accuracy. We treat every test with the same level of care, regardless of how it was ordered. We also provide an online portal for viewing and understanding your results. We encourage you to talk to your doctor about your results for their professional insight into your unique situation.

Result times vary depending on the test administered. Many will be available within 24 to 48 hours of testing. You’ll receive your results as quickly as if they were ordered by a doctor.

In order to qualify for direct testing, you must be a New Mexico resident age 18 or older. You’ll need to pay for tests before they are performed. Tests are designed for personal health management and information purposes. They are not meant to diagnose, guide treatment, or replace a doctor’s advice.
